3 stars for great pasta and pie!
I have to take 2 stars off my rating, 1 for a terrible first impression and 1 for my encounters with the server when dinning by myself.
I must say though, the lunch server isn't very friendly to customers she doesn't personally know you. I've ate alone and I've ate with people she knows and the service is not comparable.
I'm still not a fan of the salad, due to the chicken being cold and the ranch tasting like Hidden Valley, but the tortellini pasta and chocolate pie are AMAZING options!
My first visit did not leave a good impression on me but I must say my experiences have been exceptionally better since then.
It could not have been more perfect. My tea was good, my salad was fresh and very good. My steak was absolutely wonderful. Cooked to perfection. Best meal I've had in a long time.
We walked in and everyone in the restaurant stared at us. We didn't know if we sat ourselves or waited to be sat. The guy at the counter never acknowledged that we were standing there. I had to ask him what we needed to do. He responded sit down.... Rude. My husband had to go to the bathroom. He couldn't get anyone's attention so he looked for it himself. He finally asked where it was.
No napkins, no rueben sandwiches, ran out of sourdough bread and they charge for water. Potato chips were fresh.
The man at the counter said it was through the kitchen. To get to the bathroom you have to go through the kitchen. That grossed me out. The waitress carried tea pitchers around and filled everyone's tea except ours. The food was good when it finally came. The locals got more attention and better service than we did....
Chicken Fried Steak was the Best from a Restaurant we have ever eaten. Real steak with just right amount of breading. Mashed potatoes fresh, bread toasted just right, salad generous and Coconut pie was excellent. Not to sweet just right. Nice honey atmosphere Everything was great!
